Ways of Giving

There are multiple ways of giving to our beloved Church to support her Ministries. Some of them include:

Time
Talents
Treasure (Financial Support)

These items are not mutually exclusive. They are related and not considered seperate gifts.  For example, what you may love doing may be your talent and gift.  This gift, you can give to God by doing it well, and by doing it for others.  If you love to sing, cook, teach, organize etc., all these talents can be provided as a gift to help the ministries of our Church.  All that we do and all that we are come from God, as such, our time, talents and treasures; in sharing them, you are merely returning what He has provided you.

It would be wonderful if we could rely on our time and talents only to run the parish of Holy Trinity, but we also need the treasure of each of our parishioners in order to have a church. We utilize our time and talents, which God has given us to earn our treasure. It is therefore fitting that we give a fair portion of our treasure back as a thanksgiving to God. In the New Testament, Saint Paul writes "He who sows sparingly shall reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully shall reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians v. 9:6,7)
